25 for 25: Supporting Bear Creek Services in July

One of the most rewarding parts of the 25 for 25 initiative has been the opportunity to meet the people behind Rochester’s nonprofit organizations and learn what drives their work.

This month, Atlas Insurance Brokers was proud to support Bear Creek Services with a $2,000 donation as part of our year-long commitment to giving back to the communities we serve.

For nearly 50 years, Bear Creek Services has helped individuals with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries live empowered, independent lives through person-centered support and meaningful community connections. Their mission reflects a simple but powerful belief: every person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Supporting People to Live Empowered Lives

Based in Rochester, Bear Creek Services provides residential and community-based programs that help individuals build independence while remaining connected to the people and activities that matter most to them.

From supported living services to other opportunities for recreation, employment, education, and community involvement, Bear Creek Services works alongside each individual to help them achieve their personal goals. Their approach focuses on partnership, dignity, and respecting the unique needs and choices of every person they support.

Throughout the month, we also highlighted ways our community could support Bear Creek Services, with an emphasis on financial giving. Donations help sustain programs and services that provide opportunities, stability, and meaningful experiences for the individuals they serve.

Visiting Bear Creek Services

To wrap up July, members of the Atlas Insurance Brokers team visited Bear Creek Services to present the organization’s $2,000 donation and meet with members of their team.

Although our visit was brief, it was a great opportunity to learn more about their mission and recognize the important work happening every day to support individuals throughout our community.

Every organization we’ve partnered with during 25 for 25 has shown us a different way that local nonprofits strengthen Rochester, and Bear Creek Services is no exception. Their commitment to helping people live empowered lives makes a lasting impact on the individuals they serve, their families, and our community as a whole.
