25 for 25: Supporting the American Red Cross and Rochester Youth in August

In August, as part of our 25 for 25 initiative, we continued our year-long celebration by supporting an organization and an annual event that make a difference in the Rochester community: the American Red Cross and Rochester’s Community Back to School Block Party.

Our 25 for 25 campaign was created to celebrate 25 years of serving our communities by giving back throughout our anniversary year. Each month, we’re highlighting organizations and causes that help strengthen our communities. In August, that meant supporting an organization that provides critical assistance when people need it most and an event that helps local students prepare for a successful school year.

Supporting the American Red Cross

The American Red Cross assists people and communities during some of their most difficult moments. From disaster relief and emergency assistance to blood collection and preparedness education, the organization plays an important role in helping people when they need it most.

During our August 25 for 25 activities, we had several opportunities to support and learn more about the work they do.

The Atlas Team Gives Blood

One way we supported the Red Cross was by donating blood.

Blood donations are an important part of the Red Cross’s mission. Hospitals and medical facilities rely on donated blood every day to help patients undergoing surgery, receiving treatment for illness or injury, and facing other medical emergencies.

For our team, participating in a blood drive was a simple but meaningful way to give back. It was also a great reminder that helping our community doesn’t always require a major commitment. Sometimes, an hour of your time and a blood donation can make a meaningful difference for someone you may never meet.

In addition to donating blood, we were proud to make a financial contribution to the Red Cross as part of our 25 for 25 campaign.

The donation represents our commitment to supporting organizations that serve people throughout Rochester and beyond. The Red Cross is there when people experience emergencies and unexpected hardships, providing resources and support when they’re needed most. We were grateful for the opportunity to contribute to that work and to recognize the important role the Red Cross plays in our community.

Supporting Local Youth at Rochester’s Back-to-School Block Party

Our August giving also brought us closer to home with support for Rochester’s 6th Annual Back-to-School Block Party.

Events like this show how local organizations, businesses, volunteers, and community members can come together to support children and families. Preparing students for a new school year isn’t only about supplies and schedules. It’s also about creating positive experiences and making sure kids feel supported as they head into another year of learning.

Sponsoring the event gave us another opportunity to invest in the Rochester community and help celebrate the students who make our community’s future so bright.

Continuing Our 25 for 25 Commitment

August was another meaningful month in our 25 for 25 journey. Whether it was rolling up our sleeves to donate blood or supporting an event that brings local families together, we were reminded of the many ways our community comes together to help others.

We’re grateful to the American Red Cross, the organizers of Rochester’s Back-to-School Block Party, and all of the volunteers and community members who make this work possible. As we head into the final months of celebrating 25 years, we’re looking forward to finding even more ways to give back to the communities we’ve been proud to serve.
